Well map
Zoom to your township and look around. Active wells nearby mean your minerals sit in proven rock; fresh permitted locations mean operators are still committing capital; a field of plugged symbols tells the decline story. What surrounds your tract is the first chapter of any serious valuation.

How a seller reads this
- Permitted locations near you are the headline. They are wells that exist on paper but probably aren’t in your royalty checks yet — the exact value a quick sale gives away.
- Operator names matter. Click the dots: a well-capitalized operator drilling next door is worth more to your valuation than three idle ones.
- Plugged country is information too. Mature, high-decline surroundings argue for valuing the income stream honestly — and sooner.
